May is a month of blooming. Flowers are opening, trees are full again, and there’s a bright energy in the air that invites us to stretch, soften, and grow. Just like nature, we too can lean into this season with intention. This month’s practice theme is all about nourishing our inner garden—tending to the parts of ourselves that are ready to grow and releasing what no longer serves.
Yoga Flow for Growth & Renewal
Below is a gentle, heart-centered yoga sequence you can do to embody the spirit of blooming. Pair it with your favorite soft playlist (or feel free to use one of mine!), listen to your body, and let your breath be your guide.
1. Seated Forward Fold (Paschimottanasana)
Settle into your mat and let yourself arrive. Breathe into the backs of your legs and release tension.
2. Cat-Cow (Marjaryasana/Bitilasana)
Wake up the spine and connect movement to breath.
3. Low Lunge with a Twist (Anjaneyasana variation)
Open the hips and create space in the heart center.
4. Crescent Lunge to Warrior II Flow
Strengthen your foundation while flowing with grace. Think of it like watering your roots.
5. Triangle Pose (Trikonasana)
Open up and let light in. Let this be your reminder that expansion comes from alignment.
6. Butterfly/Bound Angle Pose (Baddha Konasana)
Time to soften. Let your breath settle and reflect on where growth is happening.
7. Savasana with a Visualization
In your final rest, picture a garden in your mind. What do you see blooming? What are you ready to tend to this month?
Mantra to Anchor Your Practice:
“I welcome growth with grace. I am blooming at my own pace.”

Journal Prompt:
What does growth look like for me this month? What support do I need to nurture it?
Whether you’re planting new seeds or tending to long-standing dreams, this month is an invitation to grow with grace. For me, finally working on my yoga blog and planning retreats to share with you all is my dream coming into fruition. Let’s water each other and help each other grow!
With love and light,
