Brittany Buddha’s Holiday Shopping Guide for Yogis
Happy Thanksgiving, OMies! It’s been far too long since I’ve posted on here… But in the spirit of the holiday, I wanted to share some of my favorite yoga products as both a teacher and a practitioner for anyone looking for gift ideas for the special yogi(s) in their life!

The sequence deck is a fun AND educational tool to create new vinyasa flows. It pairs well with the yoga framework course book if you’re looking to deepen your understanding of movement/poses. (Created by Jeff Posner, my YTT instructor!) Just shuffle the cards and discover cool new ways to move! It’s an inspiring and helpful resource when you get tired of the same routine practice but still want to practice on your own or build a class, plus it gives great info on each of the poses. Includes:
- 70 total pose cards (35 poses/asanas)
- 1 Wild Card
- 1 Instructions Card
- High Quality Box for Storage

2. Tribal Yoga Mat Bag with Rose Hmong Embroidered from Thailand ($39)
My best friend got this for me a few years ago and it is my absolute favorite bag ever! I’ve gotten SO many compliments on it and I did some SEARCHING to find the exact one I have but here it is! The fabric is made in the HMONG hill tribes of Lanna Country (Northern Thailand). It makes carrying my mat around so much easier, and it’s also just SO pretty!

3. Yoga Toe Spreaders ($16.95)
Okay – I know this sounds weird. I’ve never actually worn these while practicing (although it says you can!) but it is SUCH a nice feeling to wear these after practice and stretch your toes like the rest of your body! Or after a long day on your feet or after stuffing your feet into red bottoms. It feels a little odd at first (because how often do we stretch our toes, right?) but it’s a huge pain relief, helps with balance and restoring the connective tissues in your feet.

4. Yoga Blocks (Prices vary)
I’m actually interested to hear what brands others have to recommend! Mine were a Christmas gift a few years ago—A random Amazon brand and they work just fine! I know a lot of people recommend the cork ones over the foam ones, but the foam ones tend to be cheaper (I mean, these REEHUT blocks are on sale for Black Friday for $5.42 – can’t beat that price!) Mine are foam and could be more sturdy for certain things (i.e. shoulder pressing pose pictured above) but work just fine for most things. But regardless what kind you get, these are an EXCELLENT gift this year since studios aren’t able to share blocks during the pandemic.

5. Chakra Oracle Cards ($17.16 on Amazon — I got mine for $23 at B&N)
This was the first ever deck of oracle cards I got! There are tons of others out there if you want to search for something else your yogi might be into (The Moonology Deck and Goddess Guidance Deck are two others I have and LOVE). I chose the Chakra deck for this list since it is super informative about the chakras (and what yogi doesn’t want to balance their chakras?) while also offering insights into your daily life. Pull a card to inspire your daily practice, or do a full reading (they have layouts in the guidebook included with the deck)!

6. Affirmators! 50 Affirmation Cards to Help You Help Yourself – Without The Self-Helpy-Ness! ($12.36 on Amazon)
My best friend got this for me too (Shout out to Alyssa, you are actually the best at giving yoga gifts since TWO things on this list were from you!) I’ve since given this same gift to four other people (I gave them to one friend and then everyone else wanted them too). Everyone loves them! They’re so positive and FUN! Pull one every day or before your yoga practice to inspire a very silly but also very real intention.

7. Crystal Healing Necklace (This one’s only $13 on Amazon)
I’m linking to one that I found really pretty and recently bought for a friend of mine, but there are SO MANY different crystals out there. Shop local if you can! Find out what your yogis favorite crystal or color is, or what energy they need to channel into their life. There’s so much info on the internet as to what crystals mean what, but I’m happy to help! Different crystals have different energetic properties/purposes. Holding crystals or placing them on your body is thought to promote physical, emotional and spiritual healing. They’re a great meditation tool, I love to hold mine when I’m anxious and don’t know what to do with my hands. Plus they’re just like, really pretty.
That’s it for now—I’ve got some Thanksgiving food to feast on! (May add a part 2 because there’s so many others I can think of.)
Let me know what your favorite yoga gift is!***
Lots of love and gratitude,
Brittany
